Katie's Foundation for Child Safety Board


Judy and Bob Lambert - Katie's Mom and Dad. Their goal is to help prevent furniture accident tragedies from  occurring to unsuspecting parents or caregivers.  This Foundation is the first step in helping to accomplish the goal of raising awareness


Gerald R. Clarke - Mr. Clarke is an attorney for Abington Memorial Hospital in Abington, Pennsylvania. Before obtaining his law degree in May 2000, Mr. Clarke worked as an accountant in the healthcare field. He is a Certified Public Accountant and has his MBA from LaSalle Univerity.



Daniel Sean Kaye - Editor of Parents Express and the newest member of the board of directors for the Katie Elise Lambert Foundation.


Kimberly Packard - Kimberly is the mother of Meghan Agnes Beck, a beautiful girl tragically killed at the age of 3 when her dresser fell on her, just a month before Katie died. Kim began Meghan’s Hope and has partnered with the Katie Elise Lambert Foundation to raise awareness about the dangers of furniture tip-over. Kimberly is a physical therapist, childbirth educator, birth doula, CPR and First Aid instructor and Child Safety Advocate. She has written several articles about child safety. Kim lives in Sterling, MA with her two sons; Meghan’s twin brother and their older brother.



Bernie Veres - After graduating from Brownsville Area High School as valedictorian in 1975, Bernie earned a BA degree in Physics from Penn State University . Currently he is employed as a Senior System Analyst at Independence Blue Cross. He currently resides in Philadelphia with his wife Kim and twelve-year-old son Daniel. For the last ten years he has served as the treasurer of All Saint's Episcopal Church. His hobbies include biking, bowling (two 300 games) and Kenpo Karate. He is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Special Education Degree at Holy Family University

Erin Keiser - On December 18, 2006 our lives were changed forever with the loss of our daughter Chloe. Chloe's life was tragically taken when a 27" TV tipped over onto her. From that day on we have made it our mission to ensure that other parents are aware of the safety precautions necessary to provide for the well being of their children.

Ms. Keiser is in contact with New Jersey members of Congress and the Senate to raise safety awareness. She has worked with the U.S. Consumer Advocacy board on a televised production to promote safety awareness. Erin has also appeared on various local television shows, been a guest speaker at Cooper University hospital and been interviewed by local newspapers concerning child safety.

Ms. Keiser, her husband and their four surviving childeren reside in Vineland, New Jersey.

 

Rich Pierce - Richard Pierce is Nicholas Pierce's dad. Nicholas was killed March 2002 when he attempted to climb his dresser and it toppled onto him. Nicholas was 2-12. Since his son's accident, Richard has been working to not only spread the word and educate the public on the dangers of toppling furniture and televisions through various media outlets, but to also reach out and connect parents who have suffer similar tragedies. Richard is an architect in New York City, a member of the ASTM, married to Darlene Pierce, and has 3 surviving children.
